The Katara Towers are one of Qatar's most recent urban landmarks, an iconic architectural project that recreates two scimitars (curved-bladed swords), and thus evokes the national emblem of this emirate.
In this project, located in Lusail, 20 kilometres from the capital Doha, OLI was selected to equip the bathroom spaces of the building which houses two six and five star hotels, luxury flats and offices.
To ensure the water sustainability of the two towers of 211 meters, OLI provided the OLI74 PLUS S90 SANITABLOCK, a water-efficient in-wall cistern.
This model also integrates a PLUS system inlet valve that ensures a further reduction in water consumption thanks to the delayed opening of the cistern's water tank.
To water sustainability, OLI has added the contemporary design of the flush plates - SLIM (in chrome and gold finish) and OCEANIA MIA - which provides elegance and timelessness to the bathroom environments.
In addition to being an architectural icon, the Katara Towers, designed by Klint Consult, are an example of sustainability, having obtained a five-star rating from the Global Sustainability Assessment System Design and Build - the environmental certification for infrastructures in North Africa and the Middle East - a significant achievement, to which OLI's innovation contributed.
